SQLBits always represents a good opportunity to come away with some super swag and prizes and 2024 is no exception – so what are we giving away this year?
Attendee swag – As usual, there will be the limited edition 2024 themed mugs, notebooks, pens and tote bags. These can end up becoming collectors items, we saw a set of SQLBits juggling balls listed on eBay quite recently, so make sure to grab yours from the Community Travel Hub!
End of day prize giving – One key feature of SQLBits is the prize giving after sessions; return to the expo hall when sessions are done for the day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for our legendary prize draw, when participating sponsors give away a wealth of fabulous prizes to delegates they’ve either met on their stand or who have entered their competitions during the day.
Feedback prizes – a win-win, not only will submitting feedback on each session you attend give you extra chances to win a prize awarded at the end of each day, we also donate to charity for every single feedback form we receive during SQLBits – you get to choose which charity will benefit from a choice of three. Prizes for feedback received include SHOKZ OpenMove Wireless Headphones and a JBL Flip 6 Portable Bluetooth Speaker.
Pub Quiz prizes – now a well established tradition, Thursday night is Pub Quiz Night, which means there are prizes to be won. Pick your team wisely for this fiendish challenge that puts your general knowledge rigorously to the test. Prizes will be awarded down to third place and include a fantastic array of aviation and travel themed items, from airplane lego to hot air balloon clocks.
Swag on stands – sponsors always go the extra mile to give away fantastic themed items on their stands during SQLBits. From lego models to chocolate, every year provides a different haul. Make sure to visit them all during the week.
Helper prizes – we owe a huge debt of thanks to the team affectionately known as the orange army who rock up in their does every year purely for the love of SQLBits. Our MVH will win a CUIUIC Portable Gaming Monitor and our Helpers Helper will win an Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet.
Speakers gifts – as a thank you to our wonderful speakers, every year we love to make up a bag of goodies, combining a mix of locally sourced and data-centric gifts. If you are a speaker, make sure to visit us on the Info desk to collect yours. We also award our Best Speaker, according the feedback received, a Polaroid Now Gen 2 Instant Camera.
