A: SQLBits VI is on Friday 16th April 2010

Q: What is being covered?
A: SQLBits VI will be focussing on performance and scalability (though this will cover the whole product stack so there will be something for everyone!). Join SQLBits and we will email you when the agenda is confirmed

Q: Who is organising the event?
A: Members of the UK SQL Server Community are organising the event with support from Microsoft and our other sponsors. If you want to know more see the Who's Who page.

Q: How much will it cost?
A: SQLBits VI is once again a free event. This is only possible thanks to all of our Sponsors

Q: How long will the event be?
A: The event will be a full day event from 09:00 to 17:00

Q: How many people can attend?
A: We have a maximum capacity of 500 for SQLBits 6. Registration will be opening very soon - join SQLBits to be make sure you are the first to hear!

Q: When will registrations open?
A: Registration for the conference will open 15th March 2010.

Q: Can I submit to present a session at SQLBits VI
A: Anyone can submit a suitable presentation. You'll need to Join first then complete your Speaker Profile before submitting a Session

Q: Where can I get food from?
A: Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. There will also be refreshements served in the breaks between sessions so you shouldn't go hungry.

A: There is no parking at the venue - please use Public Transport

Q: Why is SQLBits VI only for one day?
A: SQLBits VI is part of the SQL Server 2008 R2 Launch week – Microsoft will be running events on the Monday – Thursday prior to SQLBits VI. We plan to run another larger event in the near future

Q: Why are you running SQLBits VI at the same time as Microsoft Techdays
A: We've scheduled SQLBits in association with MS to be part of the techdays week (We're following the SQL R2 release day on the Thursday).

Q: I'm flying to London for SQLBits VI - which airport should I fly to?
A: If you can fly to London City it's a short tube ride or even river ferry to Westminster. Heathrow is also very accessible using the Heathrow Express into Paddington and then tube to Westminster. Gatwick is equally convenient - Gatwick Express to Victoria and a short walk (or tube) to Westminster
