Training Day

SQLCLR & Service Broker with Klaus Aschenbrenner

Join this workshop and learn the whole day about SQLCLR & Service Broker.

With the SQLCLR you are able to directly to do .NET programming inside your SQL Server database. We will have a look on how you can implement several database object with the SQLCLR and what restrictions you will encounter in your day-to-day work.

After lunch you will learn about Service Broker, an asynchronous message based framework available in SQL Server since the 2005 version of SQL Server. With Service Broker you are able to implement robust, secure, and distributed message-based applications that can be scaled up to any needed size.

Finally we will build a whole distributed, scalable, and secure Service Broker application from scratch that uses in the background the features of the SQLCLR for message processing that you have seen in the morning.

After attending this workshop you are able to use the SQLCLR effectively in your next project and decide if Service Broker can be used in your scenario to implement a scale-out solution for your database driven application.
