Data Loading Patterns & Techniques

Improve your skills as a database developer

Description

Are you already an experienced database developer and know your way around the Microsoft SQL Server development language? Still, there might always be problems with query runtimes that you cannot explain to yourself or the team. Data is not written to database tables fast enough and you are looking for ways to optimize ETL processes?
These are all things that pose new challenges for a database developer daily. This workshop for database developers closes many of these gaps and uses practical examples to explain, analyze and solve the problems.

This workshop is suitable for database developers who are already beyond the basics and want to sharpen the nuances. Ideally, you already have experience with execution plans and are very familiar with the SQL Server Management Studio/Azure Data Studio

Learning Objectives

As a participant of the workshop, you will recognize the pitfalls that arise from the daily programming of database systems. You will learn how to recognize these problems and how to solve them.

Previous Experience

As a participant in this workshop, you should have successfully developed database systems for at least 3 years and have both T-SQL and initial experience with execution plans. Desirable - but not mandatory - is an understanding of the internal processes of Microsoft SQL Server.

Tech Covered

Azure, SQL 2019, Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, Functions, Database engine, Developing, Optimising, SQL 2022, On Premises, Data Loading Patterns & Techniques, Data Science & Machine Learning, Developer
