Nico Jacobs

Dr. Nico Jacobs is a SQL Server trainer and consultant at U2U since 2004. Before that, he was a data mining researcher at the computer science department of KULeuven, where he obtained a PhD in machine learning. At U2U, Nico creates and delivers courses throughout EMEA on the SQL Server business intelligence stack (Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services …), PowerBI and the traditional relational database environment (database development and administration). Nico is active on Twitter as @SqlWaldorf.

This session is a demo-based introduction into Azure Event hubs, Stream analytics, Data factory, Data warehouse, Data lake, HDInsight, Machine learning, Power BI and Cortana
Polybase is part of SQL Server 2016 and allows us to query semi-structured data in a similar way as we query regular data. In this session we show how to get started with this.
