Jan Pieter as a Data Analytics consultant shifted his expertise to answers those questions. Jan Pieter has a great overview and hands-on experience of the possibilities in the modern world of data, e.g. Big Data solutions, BI Solutions, Database / Modern Datawarehouse Platforms and Self Service BI solutions. Jan Pieter is a MCITP, MCSA and speaks frequently about different subject related to Big Data and Microsoft BI. Since 2015 Jan Pieter is also part of organizing SQLSaturday in the Netherlands via SQL PASS NL.

Pending Sessions

Recently Microsoft added a new language to the SQLish pool: U-SQL: 'that blends the declarative nature of SQL with the expressive power of C#'. And as always the question is: how can it be used and how does it integrate in our solutions.
Microsoft created Power BI with one thing in mind: make it extendable, so everyone can use it and extend it to make it the best solution of them all. In this session I will show all the extendable options, like the API and custom visualizations.
As part of the Cortana Analytics Suite Hadoop (HDInsight) is ideal to process large amounts of real-time data. With Storm, HBase and Spark the Hadoop ecosystem has components to process, store and analyze large amounts of data.

Previous Sessions

Big Data is hot! And the magic word is Hadoop. But what is it? And more important: what can I do with it? In this session we will cover some basics of Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig and Hive.
For long Hadoop and MapReduce were linked together. With the release of YARN, Hortonworks, Microsofts Hadoop partner, launched the Stinger initiative to speedup Hive a 100x. But wat is it? In this session I will show you.
