A former programmer, James to the dark side over thirteen years ago as he thought SQL Server would offer more of a challenge - and it did not disappoint! Through versions 7 to 2012 - with a side order of SQL Azure - he ave worked solidly with SQL Server. He also adores C# and BI but always find himself coming back to his first love, the database engine. Automation makes him smile and he is happiest when deep in the mire, under pressure, and with numerous seemingly impossible tasks to do in a hurry.

He is currently juggling moving a major client’s in-house system over to an SaaS model utilising SQL Azure, EF5+, and MVC, as well as more traditional DBA, SSIS, and SSAS work. MCM. SSDT junkie.
