We will review what SQL Statistics are, when are they build, how are they maintained and finally how to troubleshoot and optimize SQL performance using statistics.

His career evolved rapidly to the training side, especially in the XML and OLAP world, training customers at different locations in Latin America. Javier was an active member responsible for writing the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 courseware. He is the coauthor of several books including MOC2782: Designing Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2005 Databases, MCTS Training Kit 70-431: Implementing and Maintaining SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database Essentials Step by Step.
