This session isn’t out to teach you how to build indexes, it’s out to give you the tools and techniques to understand how your current indexes are performing. Practical methods to identify and capture index usage and adjust granularity to your working environment.
How to use the dmv’s to your advantage. The session is built around the GrumpyOldDBA’s tuning work with tables of several hundred million rows in an ERP application. All code will be provided.
