Registration & Payment

Is there any discount for charities or not-for-profit organisations?

We do not offer any discounts for charities or other not-for profit organisations. SQLBits itself is not a profit making organisation, all the organisers are volunteers, and the monies we take are used to provide our events and support the wider SQL Server community in the UK. The Saturday conference day is of course totally free.

What payment types do you accept?

We only accept credit cards. We do not accept pruchase orders and invoices.. This is to minimise the work required on our volunteers to process the payments. If you have problems paying then please contact us.

I need a VAT receipt for my registration?

You can download a full VAT receipt from the registration confirmation page. This is the last page displayed when you register. You can review your confirmation at any time in a couple of ways:
  • Follow the Review your registration record or make any changes link in your confirmation email. The email will have been sent when you completed payment, from SQLBits (events@regonline.com) with a subject of Registration Confirmation
  • Return to the registration site and login using the email address and password you chose when you registered. Then follow the View, Print, or Email Registration Record and Receipt link for the confirmation page.
On the registration confirmation page, click the Receipt link as shown below: Receipt Link

I am EU VAT registered, do I still have to pay UK VAT?

Yes, we are a VAT registered company providing services within the UK so we have to charge VAT.

All fees are subject to UK VAT at 20%, even if you are registered for VAT within the EU, but outside of the UK. Attending a SQLBits conference is classed as a supply of services, and the supply takes place within the UK, therefore VAT is chargeable.
