The Secrets of Database Change Deployment Automation
Do you want to reduce overhead in your database deployment?
Do you want to automate database deployment as part your Continuous Deployment?
Do you want to be 100% confident in your database change deployment automation?
If you have answered yes to one or more of the above questions, you definitely want to attend this session demonstrating safe database deployment automation.
Many challenges reside in database change deployment processes which rely on
manually generated scripts or on third party compare & sync tools.
Our session will discuss these challenges, as well as talk about the reasons why DBAs veto any automation of the above processes, as they can never be confident enough in the accuracy of the automation script generator or the manually generated scripts.
In this session we will demonstrate how database change deployment automation can safely be enjoyed using the database enforced change management approach, starting from real database source control (which is done directly on the database objects) - through a 3-way impact analysis - in order to identify conflicts and resolve them.
