Best Practices for Dealing with Real-Life database Challenge
Do you use version control for your application development?
Do you handle your database development in a similar way to your application
Do you use any tools for managing database changes scripts?
If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, you definitely want to attend this one.
This session will describe the best practices for dealing with real-life database development challenges and how to keep up with the pace of development processes such as Agile, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, etc.
We will cover the differences between database and application development (local files, local directories vs. database; branches and trunk; parallel development; etc.), as well as the difference between deploying and merging application code as opposed to database.
We will demonstrate how database enforced change management address these challenges, and of course how everything can be automated in order to save time and money.
