Gangnam Style Reporting Services

According to popular culture, 'Gangnam Style' is associated with high-class, lavish living in an area of South Korea. When we look at reports, however, people can often want the same thing: flashy. However, from the Data Visualisation perspective, is this the correct way forward? How can you make SSRS reports look interesting, rather than just using wizards?

Reporting Services is one of the most widely-used Business Intelligence products within the Microsoft stack. Come to this session to pick up some tips and tricks for advanced reporting writing, that is also  in
accordance with thinking by Data Visualisation gurus such as Stephen Few
and Edward Tufte.

This session will look at the balance between 'flashy' and 'functional' and we will suggest some ways to make your SSRS reports look more interesting whilst also being consistent with good Data Visualisation principles.
