Who is organising the event?
Members of the UK SQL Server Community are organising the event with support our sponsors. If you want to know more see the

How long will the event be?
The day normally starts around 09:00 and finishes at 17:00. The final agenda for each day will have more detailed timings.
There will also be evening entertainment with food and drink on both the Thursday and Friday evenings, a chance for you to socialise and network with like minded SQL profesionals.

How many people can attend?
We have a maximum capacity of 900. The training day on the Thursday the numbers in each seminar will be from 10 to 60. So make sure you register early.
I need to know something else?
Where can I get food?
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. There will also be refreshements served in the breaks between sessions so you shouldn't go hungry.
Can I request special food
Yes you can when you register.
What will be happening in the evenings?
There will be events on the Thursday and Friday night. We are currently finalising the details of these evening events. If you want be kept informed then please join the site and we will send you an email when we release more information.
Can I bring a partner or friend to the evening event?
Yes you can. You will be able to add the name of your friend or partner during registration, and optionally make a voluntary for their attendance.
Can I just attend the training day?
Absolutely. Of course we will be sorry to see you leave on Thursday evening.
Will I require my laptop to the training day?
We are currently in the process of selecting the training day sessions. Once this is complete. We will have more information as the training day sessions are selected.

Are there any deals for SQLBits attendees at the hotel?
Yes. We currently have reserved rooms specifically for SQLBits attendees. We have arranged a discount rate at the Novotel for SQLBits attendees. The rate is £149 for single occupancy B&B. For double occupancy it’s an extra £10. If you book 2 or more nights you get a further 20% discount. You need to contact the Novotel registrations as below and quote our reservation code “SQLBITS”. Will SQLBits X - The UK Technical Launch Event just have sessions about SQL 2012
There is obviously a buzz about SQL Server 2012, but we will be trying to have a balanced agenda that covers all areas and versions. We have had over 250 sessions have been
submitted, and are currently finalising the agenda so you will be able to see for yourself shortly.
Visas for international attendees
Unfortunately, we cannot issue sponsor letters for attendees to support Visa applications. Please use your receipt as confirmation of your intent when applying for a Visa for the UK.

Is there any discount for charities or not-for-profit organisations?
We do not offer any discounts for charities or other not-for profit organisations. SQLBits itself is not a profit making organisation, all the organisers are volunteers, and the monies we take are used to provide our events and support the wider SQL Server community in the UK.
How can I register?
You can
register online. We are using RegOnline to handle registrations, so don't be alarmed when you get sent to a different site.
How much will it cost?
The Thursday Training Day and Friday Conference day are chargeable, the Saturday Community Conference is free. Please see the
Booking & Pricing page for full details.
What payment types do you accept?
We only accept credit cards. We do not accept pruchase orders and invoices.. This is to minimise the work required on our volunteers to process the payments. If you have problems paying then please contact us.
I need a VAT receipt for my registration?
You can download a full VAT receipt from the registration confirmation page. This is the last page displayed when you
register. You can review your confirmation at any time in a couple of ways:
- Follow the Review your registration record or make any changes link in your confirmation email. The email will have been sent when you completed payment, from SQLBits (events@regonline.com) with a subject of Registration Confirmation
- Return to the registration site and login using the email address and password you chose when you registered. Then follow the View, Print, or Email Registration Record and Receipt link for the confirmation page.
