Accommodation

We have limited rooms available in the newly built Orchard Hotel, adjacent to the East Midlands Conference Centre. These can be booked as part of the registration process. The hotel is now fully booked for Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd May. If we have cancellations the rooms will be made available automatically, so please check when registering for latest availability.

Other hotels include Nottigham Holiday Inn and Castle Marina Premier Inn about 2 miles east towards the city centre, with more hotels available in the centre itself. In the opposite direction is the De Vere Nottingham Village, or north west and perhaps the closest is the Travelodge Wollaton Park.

 

Travel

By Car

Leave the M1 motorway at junction 25 and follow the A52 signposted to Nottingham. After approximately 4.4 miles turn right at the roundabout (with a Toby Carvery) onto the A6464 Woodside Road. Turn left at the next roundabout to enter the University of Nottingham's West Entrance.
 
The EMCC is situated on Beeston Road, which is the main loop road through the campus.

We have 200 spaces in the EMCC/Orchard Hotel car park with further spaces available in the parking bays opposite the car park entrance and across campus
We have support from the University of Nottingham Security team to assist in directing delegates to available car parking space on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the conference.

If attendees are parking outside the EMCC/Orchard hotel car park they will be issued with a car parking permit for the car.  All cars parked outside of the EMCC / Orchard Hotel require a permit to be visibly displayed otherwise cars may be liable to be clamped.

Car parking permits are required on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

A bus service that will take you onto campus is the number 13, the closest stop to the train station is on Canal Street http://www.nctx.co.uk/assets/CCMap_013_Mar12.pdf 

This service is every 30 minutes starting from just over 5 minutes past the hour. The closest bus stop to the exhibition centre on Derby Road is stop UN17 Wollaton Park Gates bus stop. The services using this stop are 21, 35, 36, 63, i4 and Y36. The i4 bus leaves from the Stand 4, Broadmarsh Bus station (5 minutes walk from the train station), Bus Y36 will leave from Stop A4 Angel Row ( 12 minutes walk from the train station). If you alight at the Wollaton Park Gates bus stop access to the campus is via a footpath which takes you onto the perimeter road. Turn right at the exit of the path and walk anti-clockwise around the perimeter road to the conference centre, this should take around 5 minutes.


By Train

The nearest stations to the EMCC are Beeston Station and Nottingham. There are over 30 direct trains that travel between St Pancras and Nottingham on a daily basis.

By Air

From East Midlands Airport, the EMCC is just 14 miles away via the M1 North leaving at junction 25 and following the A52. There is also the regular Skylink Nottingham bus, leaving directly from the airport directed to Broad Marsh Bus Station. Alight at Beeston, which is the stop for the main University campus, a few minutes walk from the entrance to the East Midlands Conference Centre.
